Am Abend des 2. März 2025 (3. März in Europa) wurden wieder begehrte Preise verliehen. Im Dolby Theatre Hollywood, California, führte erstmalig Late Night Talker Conan O’Brien durch die Gala. In weiten Teilen nicht der originellste Moderator, dafür mit der beißensten Aussage: „“Anora“! Two wins alreadsy. I guess Americans are finally excited to see someone stand up to a powerful Russian.“
Der ‚Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award‘, der hohe Qualitätsstandards in der Filmproduktion auszeichnet, wurde an die eherenwerten Michael G. Wilson und Barbara Broccoli verliehen. Der ‚Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award‘ für humanitäre (sic) Verdienste ging an Proudzent, Regisseur und Autor Richard Curtis.
Von den 10,894 Mitgliedern der Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, waren 9,905 wahlberechtigt. Und ihre Wahl für eine Auszeichnung mit Goldjunge Oscar fiel wie folgt:
